The Georgia Tech Counseling Center (GTCC) stands in solidarity with Asian-American communities to condemn anti-Asian racism in all forms, particularly the recent rise of anti-Asian hate and hateful rhetoric in the metro Atlanta area and throughout the country. We express condolences to those affected by hate, intimidation, threats, and violence and condemn such acts. The Counseling Center continues to offer support, and we encourage students to reach out to GTCC for additional support and resources.

The Counseling Center offers several types of counseling, including:

Individual Counseling
Group Counseling
Couples Counseling
Referral Services, including Counseling Services and Psychiatric Services

Consultation
Outreach
Life Skills Workshops

KORU Mindfulness Program

Mandated Alcohol and Other Drug Counseling
Career Counseling

Scheduling an Appointment

If you would like to discuss any of these options with an assessor, please consider initiating services through GT CARE.  CARE has shifted from a walk-in model to an appointment-based model due to Covid-19 and the need to carefully control client traffic and flow.  CARE offers telebehavioral health assessments for students. CARE follows strict criteria that identifies which students will need an in-person appointment.

  • CARE services are available during the office hours of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and1:00 PM – 4:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
  • To access CARE services, please call 404-894-3498 and you will be provided further instructions.

If you are already an established client of the Counseling Center (which is a separate department from CARE) and have been seen at the Counseling Center within the last six months, you may call the Counseling Center at 404.894.2575 for assistance reconnecting with services.

If you were seen in the Counseling Center more than six months ago, please have an updated assessment done through GT CARE.

If you are experiencing a crisis that requires immediate attention please visit our page for students in crisis.

Eligibility Statment

All students currently registered in a degree-seeking program are eligible for services at the Counseling Center.  A student must be registered in the current semester to utilize our services.  If a student is on co-op or internship and not registered for classes, then they would not be eligible during that semester.  In this instance we would be happy to provide appropriate referrals for services.  See our Referral Services page for more information.
